My examination results will be released in a few hours! Extremely nervous.
Sorry for the horrible picture. Yes I know, it looks like it came out from a 5-year-old hands. But all I have is a Macbook’s touchpad and extremely frozen hands due to the mounting nervousness.
Just something fun I thought I’d try. :) Have always liked Andy Warhol’s pop art! Saw the exhibition at the Getty Center last year and loved it.
Sorry for the lack of posts - Too busy enjoying post-exam activities. Have some ideas lingering at the back of my mind though!
I’ll miss you! - the Wooden Mannequin
And so ends the series of photos I took at Woodlands Waterfront. It’s a wonderful place. Empty in the mornings, except for the uncles and aunties who fish there. I love the playground there. A place where I had my first “photo shoot”.
Oh well. On to other places and random shots. These first few photos were taken specifically for a school assignment; from now on, it’s up to my whims and where I happen to be.
Whoever starts out toward the unknown must consent to venture alone. - Andre Gidre
Life is full of the unknown. When we run away from something, it’s akin to running into the dark forest - we have no idea what’s ahead of us. It may be filled with hidden treasures and pleasant surprises, it may also be dangerous with predators lurking all around, waiting to jump at any chance to destroy you.
Yet, if we do not take the first step, we would have no idea what’s ahead. And one thing - we don’t have to necessarily venture alone. Look for support groups. Look for people who have gone through the same things as you - google what you need. With family and social support, your troubles will not go away, but they will make the whole process just so much more bearable.
Resolve to keep happy and your joy and you shall form an invincible host against difficulties. - Helen Keller
As life gets weary, everyday feels like a bore. Getting to school, work, home, like a human clockwork machine. But when you realize the simple joys in everyday life; a hug from your mum, dad, kids, or dog at the end of the day; a random stranger saying hello to you at Starbucks; eating some good food; all these adds up.
Giving you some relief to an otherwise boring day.
And as for the wooden mannequin, a few minutes at the playground will do.
Adversity makes men, and prosperity makes monsters. - Victor Hugo
We’ve all faced adversities in our lives. We might have felt like it was the hardest obstacle we’ve ever faced. That it will be impossible to overcome. That it would mean trouble forever.
You might still be facing that problem. Perhaps, it can never be solved. But it would mean something in your life. It makes you become stronger. Tougher.
And when you get older and wiser, you’ll find out that all the obstacles in your life have made you what you are today - a winner.
